When razer calls this a 34skin34 they are not exaggerating this mousing surface is little thicker than an ordinary piece of copying paper

One particular problem i had with conventional thicker mousepads was that they would get in the way of my fullsize keyboard which in turn damaged the edges of the mousing surface due to its extreme thinness the razer sphex eliminated this issue

On the technical side the sphex skin provides exceptionally accurate mouse tracking in fact i had to lower the dpi resolution of my gaming mouse to compensate

The 34sticky34 underside is not coated in any adhesive—no damage to wooden desk surfaces here—but as far as i can tell is instead treated in some way to provide enough tack to keep the skin from moving around on your desk
