My son is 6 and we got the sx500 because the smaller one was just too small for his height. My 8 yo son loves it and it’s the perfect size.

Perfect hight and great power even for a 190lb test drive by myself. It's surprisingly fast for a battery powered dirt bike. It runs practically silent, which is awesome and courteous for our quiet neighborhood.

Cons

Strong "do not buy" recommendation on this one. This thing is a money pit. Says it’s rated up to 175lbs.

The rim/tire is bent. Maybe the damage occured during delivery but i doubt. Razor will not look up the warranty number using the serial or any other number.

Replacement battery quit working after a month and a half. Razors helpline is any help either. Do yourself a favor and find a better manufacturer than razor.

Anything smaller and he (or any other tall child) would have outgrown it fast, not the leat too slow.

The packaging is great, and i don't see how they could get damaged without severely abusing the package.

Competitiveness

Couldn’t haves asked for a better birthday present to a 7yo.

Easy to put together,very sturdy,i rode it at 225 no issues.

Usually in those cases you can either bet on the manufacturer buying positive reviews, or competition buying negative reviews.

But there really isn't any competition in this space.
