The volume is exceptional on this player. I drive a ford explorer and the road noise is average, to give you reference. The control picks up perfectly fine.
Cons
When there is only one adult in the car, it's impossible to keep the kids happy when it's constantly restarting. They are right next to the button which stops a video.
It is a great price if you need a summer of movies, but it will not last and is apparently not made for recurring usage. Don't waste your time. What a waste of money.
There are also no stands, so they can't be propped up. It was mailed to me broken already smh. That has also ceased to work, so now these are completely useless!

I tried the portable dvd players but the 3 i purchased all quit working within 3 months but not this one

The few issues i had was that there is no volume control on the remote which makes it difficult to adjust the volume because i had to climb half way into the back seat to each monitor to adjust the volume if i needed to the other issue i had was the wires connecting the two screens were a pain and got in the way because my daughter is still in a rear facing car seat

Also luckily we had an outlet in the back seat or the cord would not have reach from the front to the back

The instructions were a little confusing as far as set up because they were incorrect in the manual

You have to plug in the power cord to the non dvd 2nd playing unit and run the power from that to the main unit if using both screens
