Great value for the money. Easy to follow instructions. Clean filter alarm is convenient. Installation can be a bit challenging, honestly. Window install kit is included.
The 10,000 btu unit is an intermediate size ac unit. It's loud, but not as loud as some air conditioners i've had in the past. The blower is strong and puts out a large volume of air even on the low setting.

Reviewer loves the auto fan, timer and sleep function. Set to auto mode, the fan can read your mind.
It does a great job for a bedroom and could conceivably be used to augment existing climate control in a larger space. I love that it has a dehumidifier function for those days when it rains.
Cons

I would definitely recommend this unit as it does a great job for the price.

At the time it had all 5 star reviews and since rca was a name i knew and trusted for decades but not in the window ac unit market i decided to give this a try even though i was skeptical

For the first day i ran this on high and at the same temperature i set the old unit on but i quickly became clear that this 18k btu unit drastically outperformed the old 18k btu unit so much that i had to raise the temperature 2 degrees or i was chilly instead of comfortable

It is not as loud as the other unit but since it pushes so much air you definitely hear it but you get use to it too

I even noticed that one of the ceiling fans pull strings are moving due to the great amount if air flow and i never noticed that before
