It's fairly good, not fantastic though. Was worth the gamble for me. Some of the reviews indicate that buyers clearly don't understand the technology.

I purchased this in february after discovering that dish network was billing me five extra bucks a month because i didnt have a phone line connected to my dvr

Now dish doesnt bill me the five bucks and as a bonus i get caller id info on my tv screen when someone calls

Although amazon recommends the rc920 extension do not buy the rc920 extension if you want callerid functionality
