I purchased this item and i had it for about three years and then it broke.
Judging by the reviews i see that the quality has changed.
It also needed to be small and light enough to rest on on his chest and had to operate with batteries (2 x "aa").

Since he has developed cataracts he can not watch tv or use a portable dvd player so he asked for a cd player with a radio
