Pros

I'm new to the mk scene (a little over a month into this) and here's my review. It looks great. The spacers and apc are interesting.

Quiet, usable keyboard for typing. The keyboard is already one of the quietest i have used. The silenced 'thock' sound is unmistakable.

I am one of the world's fastest typists. I'm not really a keyboard snob, but have been using mech keyboards for several years now.

This is better than the typical 2 key rollover that most keyboards has. The combination of tactility and smoothness is something you can't get with cherry and clones. The other item it comes with is a keycap puller.

The topre realforces r2 is an androgynous keyboard with a compact form factor. For the fellow keyboard generalist willing to drop a pretty penny on this (already out of stock) collector's item, there's no reason not to buy it.

Cons

There is so much dampening it feels like you lose the tactility. It advertises the bounce; there is none when it comes to the usual topre feedback.

Price

The price is worth it, as this is my forever board—ie.

If the price doesn't bother you, definitely get it.

However, i really cannot justify the price tag on this thing.

First, the price is pretty high for a keyboard.

Packaging/appearance

The thicker the mat, the even quieter the bottoming out of the topre switch will be.

The box also contains two rubber mats in different thicknesses that can be installed on the plate by first removing the keycaps.

Competitiveness

The zilents are perhaps even quieter than the silenced topre switches in the rf, but the rf is definitely more elegant and refined.

I use this board for work because of the f1-12 and arrow keys, and really there's no competition.

This special edition of the topre realforce r2 line of keyboards does not possess nkro.

That is because topre switches are non-contact based.
