If the ceiling material is trimmed back farther and the tabs don’t grab the ceiling you must use longer screws in the locking clip to grab the sub plate against the ceiling

It’s a small thing but it certainly will frustrate most installers initially

The only other observation would be that the cover plate color white is what i chose does not exactly match the fixture color

I had to nest my new fixture cover plate into the kit cover plate and the colors are just a bit off

In the past i had to patch the hole with sheetrock because the ceiling cover for pendants is only 3 inches wide and would leave a gap around the outer ring
