These are trying to capitalize on the double band cup insole sandals that are synonymous on birkenstock brand that are very dad looking but on this case these have that surfer style that doesnt make them look old school and that because they have the materials and construction concepts of reef brand

The comfort on this sandal is incredible they used the same rubber material on insoles as the 34now discontinued34 cushion slides which luckily i still have a pair shown one of the photos but unlike these the tradewinds have more contours on the insole they have a little arch support and that in between toes bump that helps to not slide your feet all the way to the front of the sandal thats really too soft to be an issue

These definitively are not like the birkenstocks designs that has those hard to adjust buckles and sometimes hard cork borders but insole contours are not as predominant so have in mind that

On the soles side they look very sturdy they are made on another material that feels very resilient and has some traction unlike reef smoothies or cushion slides so this is really an upgrade on these old models but also i must advise that dont try to overdo it on these as the sole pattern is very flat so i dont recommend using these for hiking but you can take a walk on a town or use them as much as you like in your house
