Pros

I remember seeing a review claiming you can’t open the gate with one hand,lol yes you can. Although this gate was intended for a stairway and thus was designed to only open one way, it's fairly easy to modify to go both ways.

I wish the instructions were a little more clear or the pictures were a tad bit bigger and clearer. It is sturdy, and it was easy to install. The build quality is very good and the gate was very easy to mount with the included hardware.

Cons

Wall mount hinge bracket for our top of stairs gate is broken. To add to that, now i have the gate for about 2 months, and the hinges and latches are starting to squeak.

The gate hinges on the left and opens outward, latching on the right. There's not really true hinges, just some metal prongs that stick into a piece of plastic. It is a shame that regalo doesn't include a second latch to allow for individual needs.

This gate requires super precise measurements and hole drilling. The * that are supposed to connect the fencing on the top and bottom do not fit. There was no way to push the bars closer together to fit the coupler on there.

This gate is sturdy, no issues i like how it stays in place it's not ugly, the latch closes and opens easily

It’s been up about a month now and the spring just broke on the little white hook/latch.

Without that bracket its possible to lift too far up on the gate and pull it out of the brackets.

Price

Definitely worth the value for the money you pay for this gate.

These are great gates for the price, i purchased 2 & i will likely buy more soon.

Its not a big deal, just sucks when we accidentally do that and then need to line it up and fit the thing back in.
