The 1-1/4” barrel size seems perfect for looser curls that hang but are still lively, bouncy and hold well. This is the best curl wand i’ve ever used! Perfect size curl for my waist-length hair.
Review is for the curling iron with clip. Overall impression - this is a nice curling wand for the price. I do find using a wand to be a bit tricky; it takes practice.
The 300 to 410 fahrenheit range is sufficient for my hair type. The wand is great for longer hair since clip would not leave marks on the hair as it sets.
This comes with a heat proof glove for one hand that fit my average sized hand and worked pretty well.
Cons
This one is junk - it randomly turns off, then won't turn on. It has scratches. The logo and the * are faded.

The iron heats up quickly (30 seconds) and it has an easy-to-read good-size digital display.
It heats quickly, has a nice selection of settings, includes a heat protective glove, and leaves my hair smooth and shiny.
This remington iron gives me the same curls, in about the same amount of time, but with less weight!
A curling iron without a clip to hold hair removes one of the biggest problems which is hair becoming tangled in the clips.
Price
Works great and at a better cost than most.
My daughter has a $50 one and this one works just as good!
99 (price at the time i received my product), which is what i would expect to pay for this reliable brand.
Competitiveness
I had purchased another brand that i ended up returning because my hair never held the curl when i used it.
With practice, i can get better, but i'm not sure it's worth the time for me.

Only complaint i have is that the glove that came with it appeared to be used gross and it wasnt heat resistant

The only con is it can burn your hands if gloves are not worn

If you have very frizzy or coarse hair this iron might not be right for you as it isnt strong enough
