Pros & Cons

Pros

The saw is a better design, seems more powerful and maneuvers easier albeit being heavier. My only complaint is not with the saw, but the terrible packaging and mishandling in shipping. Love the self oiler.

The saw is exactly as expected; a great cutter for it's size (amperage) it is easy to assemble into a pole say or disassemble and use as a without the saw.

Cons

The chain jumps the track within the first few minutes of use. You have to disassemble the head to put the chain back on the track, then it jumps it again. The chain refuses to maintain tension after only seconds or minutes of operation.

What a waste of money. Very disappointing. Do not waster your money on this.

New ranger ii rm1035p is much heavier and almost impossible to hold at an angle. No adjustment other than a little plastic wheel, which serves both the function of tensioning the blade, and locking it. Weight makes it hard to manipulate.

I was/am very satisfied with the saw.

Be aware that you need to store it with the bar oil dispensing hole upwards in order to prevent bar oil leaking out.

Packaging/appearance

The weight helps it cut through the limb/branch.

Competitiveness

It has worked really well clearing small trees and triming limbs.

My neighbor has a another brand that can’t be used without the pole.
