Pros

This remington runs circles around the echo and gets the work out. The bar/chain guard is decent - not flimsy as described in other units. Don't buy the super cheap * at the store.

The mac is a great bargain, is well-made, and operates very well. Upgrade your chain right off the bat and keep it as a backup.

Started the remington up first time today oct. Starts easily every time, warms up quickly, and runs like a champ. The entire starter/recoil assembly can be purchased as a unit online. It starts easily and reliably every time.

Only complaint is the rubber washers for the gas and oil tend to pinch and squirt out of the mating surface if you over tighten the caps.

Cons

It's no longer worth the time/effort/expense to repair. It has one very annoying flaw which is the chain does not stay tight.

An enormous waste of money and an incredibly disappointing product. I just amazes me how manufacturers can get away with producing such cheap products nowadays. I have been scammed on a $200.

And use real gasoline with a good quality mixing oil.

I did have a problem with the chain coming off, but that was my fault.

Gets warm and needs a break, but i am overall very happy with this saw for $170.

I have only occasional need for the use of a gas chainsaw so i did not want to spend a lot of money on one and the price was right for me.

I bought it, after careful consideration, because of price.

Starts easily every time, warms up quickly, and runs like a champ.

Fired right up and runs and cuts like a champ!

Now i can stick with 4, or maybe 5 but havn't owned it long enough to know yet.
