Updated review:this product died after just 16 months of usei worked but not for long.

I just used it for the first time and was able to flat iron my long thick hair in less than 10 minutes (probably closer to 5).

Did not purchase through amazon, i have actually owned this straightener (the 1st version, this one and a 1” remington) for about 8 years.

I used it for a couple months and it was already packed in a bag for a trip, so i pulled out my old one again.
