Pros

It's convenient to use and it works great. Been using this for many years, and have refined my procedure. It just works, providing smooth lubrication.

Clean out foil and blade daily, it does away with the heat & friction that you would usually have with an electric shaver. Shave after shower without shirt, and after every use openrazor to dump out powder/whisker residue.

It applies easily, the remainder brushes off easily, and it smells very mild and pleasant. Much better than the scented splashes.

I wish the electric razors came pre-packaged with a sample. This makes electric shaving so much better. The only drawback is that it adds a bit of mess to the pre-shaving routine.

Cons

Facesaver is small and messy. Too much of the product is wasted as you shave. Creates a powdery residue on face and clogs up the blades on the electric razor. Not a close shave at all.

Have been using this preshave powder stick for years.

Back in the early '80's, when i got my first electric shaver (a corded remington) it came with a small sample pre-shave talc stick.

I think clubman's shave talc was just as good, if not better, but unfortunately they've discontinued that product.
