Pros & Cons
Pros
This is a solid - let's say'stout' - kit with nice panels and a serviceable pwm controller. Everything is of high quality and works well.
It is sturdy and sets up easily with the adjustable feet. It protects the solar panels. Easy setup with the folding legs.
The suitcase is well-made. The suitcase zipper is strong. The suit case style storage/carrying case is really nice and well made with padding to help protect the panels.
The 100w rating is an industry standard. Other manufacturers have 3-4 seams for similar wattage which may make those a tad more compact but more difficult to point and setup. This panel is the choice of most campers in my travels.
Cons
The legs are positional and the constant set up and take down loosens the bolt. It collects mud, muck and debris from whatever you set it on.
After opening the charge controller fell out. The charge controller is *.
Tried contacting renogy multiple times to no avail. There is an on-line chat but it is a computer that is clueless. Customer service seems to be aware of this and are at best snarky.
Zamp won't buy renogy again. Item was returned through amazon and not through renogy. Then it got shipped to me. Suspect product was returned and resold to him.
The same advertisement but a different product. This is fraudulent. Not advertised as used goods.
