Pros & Cons
Pros
Renogy panels are very sturdily built. The suitcase itself is stout. Stanchions are a bit flimsy, but panel frames are sturdy.
Two 100w panels keep my dual batteries charged. Sae and mc4 connectors to a 30ft 10awg extension wires. Included gator quick connects, or use your own mc4 cables that go to your battery bank with more permanent connectors. Motorcycle usb connector wor... Read More
Traveling case is padded. Handle is spring-loaded so it tucks itself to the case when not in use.
Bought a 15 amp fuse and haven't had the problem since.
Cons
The alligator clip connection included with the system has a 10 amp in line fuse which blew with 12 amps flowing through it. Renogy has no replacements for the feet on the end of the legs which are a poor friction fit.
Renogy's overseas customer service and technical support are pathetic and dishonest. All these seem like fixable/replaceable issues, but my excitement was replaced by disappointment. Quality control is gone.
Highlights
Quality
Nice product, well built, super easy to use.
I use this to charge a deep cell battery and seems to work good, case seems strong and no issues
My zipper was defective and couldn’t get a hold of this company so i had to return whole unit for a replacement.
I have a latch that is on an angle so it’s hard to close and the velcro looks like it was supposed to be attached to wire but it was not.
Price
Purchased at sale price with no regrets.
Renogy is a trusted name in solar, so these are a great buy for the price.
It's much heavier than it's jackery counterpart, but this isn't anything not described, and for the amount of money you save is... Read More
The included cable is alil short, but i found an extension cable for about $10.
Shipping
Love the suitcase fits in storage area of rv not to heavy arrived early in time for christmas .
It was not shipped directly from renogy.
This was either shipper abuse or just crappy handling at the amazon warehouse where this panel shipped to me from.
Within a week i had a replacement setup delivered to my house.
Packaging/appearance
Happy that the panels are packed well in the box.
It is super packable, fairly light weight, and easy to use.
Seems like i got a used/returned set, poor packing, seems to be missing side foam.
Because the box was in bad shape, rips, and tears.
Competitiveness
I would definitely recommend these panels and the price point is good when compared to similar products.
It's more powerful than it's little (slightly older - 2 years) cousin, the 50 watt version of this.
Conversely, i avoid buying cheaper red chinese products for the same reason.
Two of the four are branded by renogy.
