This inverter charger works well. I switches without a noticeable glitch when the ac power goes off.

Cons

My gripe with renogy is not with their product. Mine is just an expensive boat anchor. Will never recommend, install, or look at their garbage products again.

At no load it indeed produces a sine wave. But the output turns into a trapezoid when powering a 500 watt heat gun (resistive load) or even a 150 watt angle grinder.

Even after setting the renogy to use custom rules with the help of support, it would not charge beyond 13.

Very disappointed that the renogy rng-invt-c-rc-us lcd remote has been discontinued and is no longer available anywhere.

Competitiveness

The renogy 1000w inverter charger unit came undamaged, was packed very well and the associated hardware and temp sensor were in the box.

If you are not comfortable with zero tech support, do not buy from renogy!

Just wish it had a better remote panel.
