Pros & Cons
Pros
Don't listen to the other reviewers poo-pooing them unless there's a legit cable/build quality issue. The small size allows me to place the panel on the dash of my parked and locked truck. Connected to a victron solar charge controller and 100ah lifep... Read More
Renogy solar100w 12v lightweight semi flexible black panel is durable and lightweight. I was able to just glue them to the roof of my rv instead of using screws. They are lightweight and flexible.
watts=amps x volts. The key to maximizing wattage pull is how you orient them in relation to the sun path & the season.
After 3 months of searing heat, and some rain, all four panels are still secure. You almost need them completely vertical in december (colorado front range) nature of the beast.
Cons
Short leads. Impossible to stack and use a renogy branch connector. Either renogy or amazon is selling low quality panels, i believe it to be renogy supplying these low quality rejects to fill bulk orders. No response to my refund inquiry.
The incompetence is frustrating. Caulk is applied messy and inconsistent.
Renogy gets some good product reviews but if you poke around you will find many reviews like mine. My real disappointment is that the 2 defective panels will take 5 weeks to be refunded!
Only optimal in zero blocked or shadowed situations. Panel is too fragile to be used as a portable device.
Highlights
Quality
These panels are about the best quality you can expect for a flexible.
Had it for three years and even though it gets its share of abuse (dust, sand, etc) it’s held up perfectly
And glued them to hinged 1/2 " polycarbonate multiwall; very lightweight and stiff.
This lightweight panel is the only in the back of my 2 door jeep when not use.
Price
Def worth the extra cost for the light weight and versatility of these panels.
A little more expensive than some - but fit our needs.
Shipping
It came nicely boxed and arrived quickly.
I received my 200w panels on time and without any issues.
I got 250 to 300 watts on fully sunny days charging 800 ah chins batteries.
Competitiveness
I paired it with a cheap solar controller and a 20 ah lifepo4.
Since i don't have any other solar panel to compare it to, i cannot give it a 5 star rating.

I was going to mount two of these on my trailer

However they werent as flexible as i thought they would be
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
Ultimately one of them would not flex enough to go on the trailer which would have left me with only a single 50 watts panel which in turn would have not been enough power
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
From a structural standpoint i think they would be pretty durable
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
However realize that you have to have pretty gentle curved surfaces if you are trying to mount them on anything except a flat surface
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
In retrospect they might have been stiff enough to be used as portable solar panels that could be leaned against the trailer during the day and put away each evening
