Cons

My gripe with renogy is not with their product. This is a generic unit that they attempt to market as their own and have zero technical ability on. They refuse to offer warranty or support for them.

I reset the inverter and nothing else seems the matter.

At no load it indeed produces a sine wave. But the output turns into a trapezoid when powering a 500 watt heat gun (resistive load) still no ac power.

Erector has high pitched squealing noise all the time, even worse when charging batteries. Charging function failed on both units in less than 6-months.

Powers our fridge and coffee maker no problem and with 3 100ah batteries it lasts about 24 to 48 hrs.

The inverter ran light loads adequately but failed every time with tough loads.

The battery temp sensor is almost unusable it’s so small.

Price

After more reading decided to get a lifep04 specific charger for $86 and it charges to 14.

Using it in my 42' 5th wheel with solar panels on the roof, you would think after paying $120.

Shipping

Culprit was either ups or warehouse thought they can pull a fast one.

I purchased the 3000 watt inverter charger from amazon and took the delivery in dec 2020.

Renogy was little help when the inverter originally shipped to me was obviously tampered with.

Packaging/appearance

The renogy 1000w inverter charger unit came undamaged, was packed very well and the associated hardware and temp sensor were in the box.

My unit arrived in a box that had been clearly thrown around.

The first one amazon sent was beat up to hell dents and packaging was all tore up.

The product came with the shipping box pretty well damaged so if you purchase be aware of the possibility of damage to the device.
