Pros

A basic knowledge of voltage and wattage helps here. Works well with the 50 watt folding solar panel that renogy makes as well.

Not bad. This is not a deal-breaker for me but it is something that i am cognizant of. A couple of minor quibbles.

Cons

This is a somewhat dodgy unit, and while i intend to keep it as a slightly sentimental long term tinkering project, i'll be trying to work with renogy to make sure the qa process is improved. Display screen is impossible to see in daylight at all.

After a few years of intermittent use there's an error code 4 and it doesn't work anymore. Still haven't gotten the usb ports to output current. Did not work on the 120w outlet.

Renogy product is the absolute worst buying experience in my entire life, online or offline. They have no way to reset the machine, they have no replacement parts (including batteries) if they really manufacture and assemble it, then why can't they of... Read More

Renogy us a great brand in the consumer solar industry so i had no problem with the price they're charging.

Competitiveness

The renogy solar panel can, and i love it!

It doesn’t work with my 300w rice cooker, my impact drill etc.

I also recently ordered a kfd dc-power convertor on amazon.

It has a seriously high-quality lifepo4 battery that will last thousands of cycles (while discharging down to 20% or sometimes lower).
