Pros & Cons
Pros
The charge controller does what it should but i wish there was a selection to upgrade it. It protects the solar panels.
Hurricane season prep time. Great unit for the price. There was almost too much info in the on-line world about polarity and compatibility with zamp input. My growatt 1800 has its own. Lp and 12v system.
This is a solid - let's say'stout' - kit with nice panels and a serviceable pwm controller. Build quality is great.
Easy setup with the folding legs. Very light yet sturdy. Weight is manageable for one person.
The zip-up case is very high quality and is what appears to be very heavy cordura nylon constructed over a thin protective clamshell. By padded, the padding isn't thick, but enough to prevent scrapings.
Cons
Low quality wiring and customer support is pretty much non existent. After opening the charge controller fell out.
I'm not happy with this product due to either getting a previous return that somebody messed with, or else renogy is super sloppy about their quality control. The instruction manual is not good. Not sticky enough.
Highlights
Quality
The panels seem well made, durable, and charging my rv battery like i need.
It is sturdy and sets up easily with the adjustable feet.
I've had the panel for only a couple weeks and the handle, hinges, and latches, are already rusting.
The case has an extreamly cheap zipper.
Price
I like it, i got it used for 100 bucks!
Well worth the price to keep the rv upand going while boondocking.
I can't beleive they used to charge over $500 for these.
It would cost a tad more but if you can get them at discount, you are set.
Shipping
I didn't like that i had to put the product back together after delivery.
Waiting for my first bluetti eb3a solar charger to arrive to try it out.
Packaging/appearance
It folds up neatly and packs into an included case that i can carry with one hand.
' when the product arrived, several nuts attaching the feet and also the cable compartment cover were laying inside the solar suitcase.
I am keeping the packing material and box for travel.
Nice package and what you need is there.
Competitiveness
This panel weighs much more than jackery's solar panels, so i'll be using this solely to charge at home since weight is an issu... Read More
Other manufacturers have 3-4 seams for similar wattage which may make those a tad more compact but more difficult to point and setup.
