Price

For the price and all of the features offered, they are hard to beat.

Shipping

Awesome amazing seller just not the shipping

Took quite a bit of convincing to have a new one sent under warranty.

Packaging/appearance

No bubble wrap or event tape to insure package doesn't open and spill content during shipping.

Would of been nice if it was in a traditional amazon box with those little air bags.

Would have been 5 star but it came in its original box showing what it was on doorstep and it was not sealed.

Competitiveness

Unlike some other brands, this one you can set to charge lifepo4 batteries without having to buy extra modules.

I bought this 40a mppt controller from renogy to replace a much older renogy unit of he same size.

I have to say while i have good feelings about renogy products the screw connections for attaching the wires need to be upgraded

I had to take the controller off the wall and look to see what the problem was

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

The ferrule ends on the end of the wire has to be longer than is available i dont like to just insert the wire ends without a ferrule

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

I actually had to shave off the plastic hip on the ferrule to allow it to insert far enough for the ferroule to reach the screw connection

Have not required technical support yet so did not rate that

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

First thing remember connect the battery first then the load then the solar panels or the controller can be damaged

If you ever have to remove the controllers do the process in a reversed order
