After you plug this device in, disconnect the solar panels, alternator, and battery so the controller has no power for 2 minutes.
Right now i am still using renogy bt app for setup testing, and that app is not stable.

It's relatively inexpensive so for the price can be considered disposable after 3 years.

The first one was faulty out of the box and would power on for a minute or two and then go into fault mode

The free replacement renogy sent me worked great for almost 3 years and just failed shorting out

Once connected it only reads the batteries within 20 feet of the sender

Had to upgrade to the bt 2 when i upgraded my charge controller

It gets a little wonky and won’t always refresh until you back out of the app and come back into it but that’s more of a limitation app and not the bt module
