Pros & Cons
Pros
It is reliable and durable! Renogy also has great customer service.
The charge controller works great with 800 watts of pv and 2 170 amp hour batteries. The app tracks some historical data which is quite interesting and gives real-time data on battery condition and detailed solar and charging information. Only beef is... Read More
Cons
Mppt controller does work but the lcd interface is very cumbersome to use. Forget about getting the bt-2 bluetooth module. It is very buggy, the renogy app for it is horrible. It has a bluetooth app and after getting the app j can assure you it is not... Read More
My issue with the charge controller is the voltage recognition. Only produces roughly 500 watts at full sun. Wont draw the full 640 watts from my solar panels. Should be 64v @ 640 watts.
Highlights
Quality
Quality product and i am confident in its ability to regulate our solar power system.
This product is fantastic, blows every other charge controller out of the water, i really wish renogy had a way to connect to wifi though.

We burnt out our 30 amp renogy charge controller 9 weeks into using it and it struggled with the kit that it came with.
Price
A little more money, but worth every penny.
In the video, i saw that device, but the fact is the you have to pay more to get it.
This unit costs a bit more but is well worth it in my opinion.
Shipping
I haven’t tested the new one yet, it arrived a little late.
Competitiveness
Much better then the less expensive adventure model, getting 20-30% more watts from the same solar panel setup.
That other company on the market not worth mentioning their name is targeting rvers.
I challenged myself to find a less expensive 60a charge controller and after seeing reviews i tried out an oae brand.
I have had this 60 amp controller for over two weeks and wow, what a difference compared to the cheap 30 amp harbor freight controller.
