Pros & Cons
Pros
Harbor freight sells them at a higher price than amazon depending on wattage. I have another 100w renogy panel that i purchased from a different retailer that produces the same results. I believe it peaked at 88 watts.
Easy to mount with extra mounting pieces supplied. They work much better than the other brands as well during rainy and cloudy days. They will save you money because you charge faster meaning you will need fewer batteries/power stations which are far ... Read More
Cons
Poor rating is because of the inaccurate data. Industry panel ratings are ridiculous. The data states that it is 17. The rest panels produced ridiculously low watt.
After spending money on better wiring and charge controller. All 3 panels combined create 22-23volts and only 3-5 amps.
Renogy is now out of the mix. Don't mess with old dudes. Label your stuff right.
Panel showed obvious signs of damage to the frame as someone house stucco fell out of the panel frame. It is obvious to me that this was a returned product and shipped backed out without being inspected.
Highlights
Quality
I now have 5 panels and i'm very satisfied with the product price point.
I like the quality of the frame too.
I may try a polycrystalline panel next time to see if it's really worth paying top dollar for the monocrystalline.
Pay extra for quality when it comes to solar.
Price
Shipping is fast and price is good.
Price was lower than other name brand panels.
Shipping
Shipping boxes are sturdy and reusable for subsequent transport.
Have bought these before and they are first class and very fast shipping
Packaging/appearance
The one set of two panels that were said to be damaged packaging were used panels that were a year old (2021 vintage) and a dif... Read More
I bought 4 new and one that was said to be new but damaged packaging.
Competitiveness
I have it connected to a 500w battery bank and charges as expected.
I mounted it on my camper van's roof and connected a renogy battery to it with an inverter to bring in 120v.
The 100-watt panels from renogy are only 30% less power than the 200-watt panels from other brands.
Tl;dr: this is a 27v panel, not a 12v panel.
