It started on the medium setting full back wow intense so had to try it on full with heat and vibration yeah too much for me so my lass likes lowest setting she said liked the seat vibrating no surprise

Even my shoulders but keep in mind im 5534 and it just gets my shoulders so if youre 6ft tall dont expect it to get you up there

Could do with a version that has fingerlike nodules to simulate a real massage and reach deeper into the back and shoulder tissue
