Bottom line i think it is relatively safe to use this adapter but i would not completely drain it nor use it until it is noticably warm or hot to the touch

Also as the supplier cautions do not attempt to charge the 20v liion battery with the 18v charger

I also bought a new bd model bdcdd120c and is comes with all you need and i took it and made my old bd drill come back to life and then took the new drill and put it back in the box so when my old bd 18v kicks the dust i will have my new bd bdcdd120 waiting on me

I had to shave a bit off the corners of the bottom edge of the battery compartment so the whole thing would fit
