The owl eye water level indicator is a clever feature that helps me easily monitor the moisture level of my plants. The self-watering meter (i. The owl) alerts you when the water level is low.
They work well in his dorm, as they are really small. They are light and sturdy and the water level eyes work in all of them. Beyond cute and very easy to assemble, they work just as they should.
One drawback is that the size of the pots may not be suitable for larger plants. However, this means the pots can fit anywhere, like shelves or window sills. These are just as pictured!
Vfts are bog plants, so you want to keep them watered from the roots up. These are perfect for some of my african violets that need to be repotted.

Now the planter is empty same planter used for photos the other 2 are still in the box as in there is no soil in there so i have no idea if the thing will work then but looking at how it works i will say that it will

Theres a spot to drainage where it wont overlap the plant with water and encourage rot

The reason i had to mark them down a star was the feature where the eyes change the position based on how much water the pot has does not work particularly well
