Pros & Cons
Pros
The blades are sharp and heavy duty. They are fairly thick helping ensure the blades stay approximated. Blades can be sharpened and taken apart for cleaning. Work great for trimming and pruning.

Highlights
Quality
These are clearly a good quality product.
I'm impressed with the quality of this product.
Have purchased much more expensive pruner with the common name.
The quality is great but the looks is a plus.
Price
Honestly for the price i doubt you’ll find better.
It seems no matter the cost they get dull quick and tend to get dirty/crusty and don't last more than a few seasons.
Shipping
These pruners happened to be on sale with 2 day shipping.
Packaging/appearance
Right out of the box i put them to work doing some spring cleaning getting the garden beds ready.
Competitiveness
This is a well-made set of bypass garden shears with an effective lock and spring tension adjustment.
If you are like us, and have lost one too many $50 felco bypass pruner shears, you will welcome this tool, which is 1/5 the price.

Now as to the headline i finally looked up the suggested uses for bypass shears like these where the cutting blade passes scissorlike past the second blade and anvil shears where the cutting blade butts up against a flat surface
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
The simple answer is that bypass is for living tissue including grass and anvil is for dead twigs branches etc

There is a lock on the shears that will prevent the blades from opening completely
