Cons

This unit is garbage. I have 3 gmrs radios and this is the only one that can't hit the repeater less than 5 miles from my home. The receive and transmit are just weak and feable.

They are very sturdy, they can recharge from a usb c cable, they have good range, and they are very easy to use.


Bottom line: this is an excellent, entry level, no-nonsense, repeater capable, usb-c chargeable, legal, gmrs radio!

A very good bargain for the price.


They sell some really great radios at a really great price.


And they only cost around $15 [price has gone up since my review, but can be found at around $20 now] each for a two pack on amazon.

I would like to see retivis make spare batteries available for all the hts it sells.


From the factory, it comes with several different ctcss and dcs codes pre-programmed.

    The manufacturers have since come out with 34compliant34 versions of these models some of which are labeled gmrs but come with the caveat that they are not repeater capable
