Personally i have gotten about a half mile range out of them around town and about a mile in the open

If you are looking for a decent set of talkies for around the house or to take out camping this is a great option and have been nothing but reliable for me over the last few months

We did use them at the fair and dropped on from the ferris wheel and a battery fell out but outside of that
