Pros & Cons
Pros
The rt10 is a 900mhz radio from retevis. The 33cm band (900mhz) is interesting, and being able to play with it this cheaply is pretty cool. It can either operate in analog or dmr mode.
The battery life is very good. I pick it out the charger in the morning and it is on all day in scan mode until 10 at night. Charging from a fully depleted state took about 3.
It's not a scrambler, it is truly an encryption. Worked flawlessly. I have programmed other radios with chirp, the rt10 needs its own programming software that you can download for free from retevis. The prolific serial driver is used.

Price
For the price it’s a good little radio to have for your arsenal.
Overall this seems like a good value.
Competitiveness
The audio quality is better than other radios i have used.
I was able to program it in the ham bands with ease using an old programming cable from another radio brand.
My photos show the size compared to a soda can and a uniden scanner.
