This is the strangest radio that i have ever tried to program with the keypad. Retevis says they are ok with the screen being off kilter and never answered why there's freq's in it already.

I would recommend these 1000 times over any baofeng product.
This radio has much better build quality and sound quality and a cleaner signal.
The case is much more robust, the screen is infinitely better, and it feels like a quality item.

As of september 2022 some rt85s will not unlock the extended frequencies by holding f and 1 on power on or holding 1 and 7 when you power on

This will let you listen to gmrs and murs but it is still against fcc regulations to transmit on those frequencies

As with most of these super budget radios the manual is very confusing look up the rt85 on youtube for complete walkthroughs on how to use the radio retevis sent these out to some popular ham youtubers and they put out some great videos
