Pros & Cons
Pros
Free software to programme the radio is available. Audio is adequate both receive and transmit. Aerial connector has a female aerial socket and the aerial itself has a male plug.
To sum up it is in my opinion excellent value for money and worth purchasing. I'm not a big review writer but it's a decent radio.
Great little radio good sound quality and rx. Power output is fairly consistent across its range into * load. Easy to program via chirp or retevis software.
Highlights
Quality
Audio quality is excellent as is the volume of received audio.
The build quality is good, the unit feels sturdy and is comfortable in the hand.
As for the product not too great.
Volume knob broke off after a month of use, however, the manufacturer replaced the product immediately.
Packaging/appearance
I have downloaded a copy from the retevis site and put it on an e-reader which solved the readability problem.
Competitiveness
Really solid radio, good battery life, easy to program via chirp or retevis software.
I bought this radio to listen into 2m and 70cm transmissions whilst preparing for mu uk ham radio license.
As with most retevis radios the instruction book could be better written and the print is very small.

However when transmitting on 5 watts it delivers mild rf burns if your hand touches the charging pins while transmitting which are situated in a postion that you will normally touch them when holding the radio
