Pros

This is my second rexing dual channel dash cam i’ve owned. It takes about an hour to install on a suburban with lots of room.

The cord is tucked up in the headliner and goes across the windshield to the driver's side a-pillar. It keeps your line of sight clear and eliminates one of the cords we all seem to collect in our cars these days.

Kit removes the need to connect two of the wires to a fuse tap. Best update to the hardwire kit is they made the fuse holders so they separate with quick disconnects.

A micro2 fuse is not bigger - it's 9.

Cons

Kits arrive with almost no usable instruction. V cutoff is way too low. If you think you can cut the cable that comes with the camera, the v1p comes with a two wire cable and for this kit to work you need a three wire.

They use bullet connectors to connect the fuse taps, which isn't shown. Because the fuses are 90 degrees they won't fit in every slot. Removing it today and returning it to amazon for a refund.

There appears to be no draw and if you want the camera on again you have to power it up via the power button/start the car/turn acc on.
