I contacted customer service and they were very nice and understanding and sent me a new one free of charge but then the new one i received may have been even worse the velcro that holds the neck and essentially keeps the instrument from falling out was defective both sides were the fuzzy side rather than one fuzzy side and one sticky side

Two reviews have mentioned blemishes under the chin rest so i took it off to check mine out but i didnt have the same dents as pictured

Instead the cork that was o the chin rest had stayed stuck to the violin but i poked it around and it definitely would come off if i actually intended for it to
