The bag has totally unnecessary frills and is structurally inferior. The bag is also cheaply made. It leaks when it rains and is over priced by about $100.

This has not been my experience with any of rick steves products although i am sure like everything else things can happen to anything we hand over to baggage handlers

Although that bag is very durable and served me well for a month in ecuador last year it is a little too wide for some overheads and for rolling down the increasingly small isles in some planes
