Rick steves' guidebooks are great for planning a trip to portugal. The section on visiting sintra alone is worth getting this book. This is the best book we've found. Every tip and trick is spot on.

It has the right amount of detail, making it readable and comprehensible. Super informative and insightful.

The 12th edition guide completely misses important must-see destinations.
