Pros

By far the best polyethylene pipe cutters. Schedule 40 gets tougher to cut if you go any larger than that. Is spring loaded which is important for efficient cutting.

I use 3/4 inch heavy duty hoses that are hard to get clean cuts with a razor. Cuts 5/8 continental pressure hose with ext.

Cons

This is a great tool that i used to easily cut the 1/2” and 1/4” tubing for my drip irrigation system.

It's a great quality tool for its intended purpose ( not for pvc!

They seem to be the usual rigid quality which is usually very good!

It works great on all pex but it doesn't work well on 1-inch schedule 40 pvc pipe.

Price

The replacement blade is a dollar and a half cheaper than the new tool!

It seems preposterous that a replacement blade costs nearly what the new tool costs!
