Pros

Very rugged and well built. Ridgid is definately my tool of choice. Works as expected and solidly built. Rigid' brand quality, rigid and well made.

It comes with a cd, paper instructions, and a soft case. Comes with nice rigid zipper case and manual.

Also scoped my natural gas connections in the house including a leaking gas log in a fireplace. Unit not only detects methane in the entry to our home, but localized it to the gas line leading to the kitchen range from behind the fridge.

Calibration is as simple as it gets. It takes about a minute to calibrate. Excellent in detecting the smallest gas leaks.

Cons

The frustrating thing is that other ridgid tools that are now chinese-made have failed similarly for me. Sending it back. Piece of junk.

Price

I have been very impressed with this inexpensive tool

Do yourself a favor and pay the extra money to get this unit over the 30-40 dollar units.

It paid for itself with that single use, as i didn't have to pay expensive outside help to find the leak.

Only negative is the detection head insert last 5 years and costs $50 to replace.
