Pros & Cons
Pros
Sturdy little cutter. Definitely compact. Auto tensioner, once it makes contact, rotate the knob 2 revs and then it is set to cut at the correct rate for l and m type copper.
Highlights
Quality
I also found it to be of good quality and i expect it to hold up over time.
I was going to try to use it with the racket tool.
Competitiveness
What can i say, it's a ridgid!

Ridgid 97787 also known as 117

I cut a lot of 14 to 78 pipe and i have the ridgid 101 which does up to 1n18 but only cuts half way through 14 inch
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
So since the 117 cuts down to 316 it insures it cuts completely thru 14pipe plus this is a little smaller than the 101 to fit in tighter spaces

Personally i think the feed mechanism is a joke it takes longer to cut with but at least you dont have to adjust it more than twice
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
If you tighten it too much it will bend the pipe which is why i suggest tightening it twice
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
It doesnt travel down the pipe and cuts fast
