I cant figure out whether this is some clever design feature maybe to allow you to eversoslightly adjust your line of cut by eye instead of slavishly following a speed square or just a poorly controlled manufacturing process

Im considering returning the saw but if it is in fact a design feature or a systematic manufacturing problem ill end up with the same problem on a different saw
