Pros & Cons
Pros
Right side of the table expands to 25, just lift the lever, slide the table out and push the locking lever back down. The height adjustment is very smooth, and the miter adjustment is awesome. The stock blade is on par with the competition also.
Reviewer says he can't imagine doing without the saw in his garage. Built-in dust collection port and folding stand make this saw a joy to use. Reviewer finds it to be well-designed and easy to use, with ease of use.
The * and the ridgid. Most people are brand diehards; you know a chevy guy will almost always be a chevy. The rigid saw is every bit as good as the *, with a slightly larger table and consequently a bit more mass to boot. The 4510 is great where porta... Read More
Fence rule (mounted tape measurer) works like a charm - - and is accurate down to 1/64 of an inch. The slotted miter works fine. Rigid fence to kerf measurement is spot-on!
The ridgid is a great portable table saw that you can haul around (not a cheesy little bench-topper) this saw is very well built and operates smoothly with no vibration. If you are hoping for the performance of a full size cabinet saw, but can only af... Read More
Cons
The three-year warranty doesn't exist if you don't sign up for it. The cost is not an issue for me however it's the inconvenience of losing the saw's usefulness. Do yourself a favor, and check the pricing on replacement parts for ridgid products befor... Read More
Highlights
Quality
There is no blade speed wobble like with many saws, i was very impressed with the quality of cuts.
I find it powers through everything i throw at it with minimal issues.
I went into this with the mindset that i would buy the bosch because it was $100.
So, i truly believe the ridgid to be the better saw and the better value.

It is exactly level with the back of the saw table, and adds an additional 7 inches to the outfeed support.
The first thing i noticed was the fence on the ridgid was much smoother.
I took it apart and what happened was one of the commutator bars flew off the stator (the copper part on the motor shaft where ... Read More
Competitiveness
This saw compared to the competition had the most robust and accurate fence, and adjustments were nicely laid out.
The stock blade is on par with the competition also.
It was prone to the opposide side of the fence skipping a toothe and becoming misaligned.
By the way, ridgid and ryobi saws are made by the same company.

I replaced the blade with a thin kerf blade which really made the saw perform so much better

When cutting dense or thick lumber it is important to not cut all the way through in one pass otherwise the saw bogs down and can burn up the motor

Must be trying to blow them out

The dewalt ive used dont remember the model number had a small table and an archaic fence adjustment that required you to turn a knob that moved the fence by way of a gear on a track hard to even explain

One thing i have not tried on the others but i know is a problem on the rigid is if you are making your own throat plate the saw blade will not recess deep enough into the body
