Pros & Cons
Pros
Seems to be on par with competitor tools. On thing to consider with a line of cordless tools is with how many one might eventually want to purchase and if all of these one would care to purchase are suitable tools.
Milwaukee m18 fuel, makita lxt). Great speed control and torque adjustments. Balance and ergonomics are good. A lot of torque.
Ridgid is the only brand with a life time warranty. Excellent quality, strength and durability. I have two corded drills i still use where both are over 70 years old.
Cons
Try to call rigid to get help on a missing tool sent in for repair. If i’m trying to drill holes over 1/2” on 2nd gear, it has a thermal cut off for the motor. There is a problem with the trigger as it won't engage properly.
Highlights
Quality

I’m still glad that i got a good deal on this item.
I like the product for the price.
Still, if you can find it on sale, it's a very good value.

Competitiveness
I tried eight of these drills and six from the other contractor brands.
You can find clearance brushed non-hammer drills from the other contractor brands at this price, but nothing with a similar specification.
Seems to be on par with competitor tools.
The brushless motor sounds weird in comparison to non brushless drills, but that is normal for that motor type.
