Pros & Cons
Pros
Corner * work great for holding boards together on a 90. They aren't much help getting the boards aligned but do hold them once you get everything aligned. What matters is if you can clamp your material pieces so that they form a right angle with each... Read More
These awesome * are worth the price, and they handle 2x4s with ease. These are great for all different thickness and sizes. As an artist i use them for picture frames and they work flawlessly.
Cons
The clamping screw is a real pain as it flops all over. Are not even close to square. The screw shaft is rough and does not talk to the female fitting very well.
Highlights
Quality
Unless you want your joint askew, the base should probably not be in full flush contact with the material.
It’s a bit heavy which made it harder to maneuver with the play in the screw down mechanism.
A lot of the low star reviews are saying the base of the clamp isn't square with the side.
Haven’t used this because it’s to small for the lumber i work with but seems like a good product
Competitiveness
I used it to hold 2x4s, worked pretty good, cheaper than similar product at hd.
Close enough for my carpentry skills, ymmv.
But it did not serve my purpose quite well as i used it to clamp a 4-inch thick log.

It’s hard to get the wood level
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
When you tighten so it holds in place it moves the wood so it’s not level

The drawback to these clamps is that they do not pull your work piece square
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
In fact they can actually move the piece out of alignment if you are not careful when working with them
