This window alarm needs the “home base” of the house alarm system, not the ring doorbell. It needs to be connected to the alarm system.

I love my ring alarm it was easy install and works great
The new ones i purchased and installed are holding strong and have been in much longer than the ones that came with the sensors.
It is longer than the contact sensor we have but it does work.
My whole house is ‘ringed up’ - a few ‘misfires’ but i advise googling some of the objectively-reported vulnerabilities.
