I call apply the old toys are us motto of turning your frown upside down to the time spent. I am honestly shocked by the great customer service and initiative that ring has shown.

Ring is a scam. It blows my mind that they design a product that fails completely at it’s purpose. Save your $250 and buy one of their competitors products.

If the box you are connecting to is metal, which an outdoor housing will be, it forms a faraday cage, blocking signal.

The sound quality on the new camera is substandard. This is not the way to treat a loyal customer who has paid more than $1,000 for ring cameras and has subscribed to the ring protect plus service for more than a year.

Do a hard power reset (at your breaker) and try doing a hard reset (via the button on top of the unit) the lights stay on but cannot reset. When, not if, this issue happens you can’t replace the led bulbs.

D motion detection is absolutely useless feature. Birds view- is also useless. Motion warning audio is very weak and barely audible. I have to set motion detection zone smaller than the reality is because it's unnecessary catching motion far away.
