Pros

The newest gen ring security light is great. The lights are slightly brighter than the previous generation but they went with 2700 kelvin (soft white) color temperature. The ring is instant alert, picture available within seconds.

This floodlight cam is fantastic! Well worth the money. I call apply the old toys are us motto of turning your frown upside down to the time spent. I am honestly shocked by the great customer service and initiative that ring has shown.

Cons

New ring floodlight cam wired pro is not worth it. If the box you are connecting to is metal, which an outdoor housing will be, it forms a faraday cage, blocking signal.

It blows my mind that they design a product that fails completely at it’s purpose, sell it for so much money and then can’t even reimburse you for the cost you incur because of it. I've been ripped off to the tune of $500 overthis.

They work ok, but if you try to watch the live feed it's always buggy no matter where you are. The motion warning audio is very weak and barely audible. The 3d motion detection is useless - no matter how many times i set it up.

Do a hard power reset (at your breaker - turn off for at least 10 secs), and to try doing a hard reset (via the button on top of the unit) the lights stay on but cannot reset. When, not if, this issue happens you can't replace the led bulbs. Audio is ... Read More

Then gave a pink blurry picture and now wont reconnect to wifi with the lights stuck on.
