Pros

The ring app is hands down the best i've ever seen. It has a siren feature which you can activate. Easy to set up & instructions are on your ring app as you install.

Cons

The new rudimentary features are definitely not worth the upsell. Ring/amazon needs a mega class action lawsuit to make changes to their software/hardware. Terrible customer service and warranty.

I got a refurbished item for a decent discount, which made it a great deal.

The video quality (and the fact that the older model died after 2 years) is imho well worth spending the extra $$$ and buying this cam.

It was worth the extra cost for piece of mind.

I'd easily purchase several more for my home, but the $50 - $70 premium for each unit is over the top.
